Meno 1 giorno allo S'n'B!! Vi ricordate vero dell'appuntamento? Stamattina mentre mi lavavo i denti con la destra, scattavo alcune foto con la sinistra ...
Still 1 day to our S'n'B!! You do remember our meeting, do you? This morning I was brushing my teeth with my right hand, and taking some pictures with the left one....



La stola rossa che sto facendo con lana-ferri-modello di Sabine sta andando avanti bene adesso, ho avuto qualche difficoltà iniziale ma adesso ho capito lo schema e vado avanti autonomamente.
The red-shawl I'm knitting with Sabine's yarn-needles-pattern is going on quickly now. I had some troubles at the beginning but at last I have understood the pattern and I keep on knitting on my own.



la lunghezza attuale è 70 cm più o meno metà del lavoro finito! Ho iniziato anche un altro lavoretto interessante "top-down" e probabilmemte porterò questo...
Actual lenght is abuot 70 cm, more or less half of the total lenght! Moreover I cast on for this interesting work, knitted from the top, and very likely I'll bring this one along...

Cosa fa una maglista per amore...?

....non può permettere che il suo tesoro affronti l'inverno senza la protezione di un maglione fatto con le sue manine sante! Poco importa che lui sia "caldoloso" e si senta pungere al solo pensiero di una sciarpa! Non potrà restare indifferente a di fronte ad una così grande pazienza (almeno XXL), e così ......ecco il capolavoro!
Questa opera, unica nel suo genere, e preziosissima, è stata indossata ben "due" volte in quindici anni...ma è fatta di filo buono...e durerà!

What would a knitter do for love...? She cannot allow her sweetheart to face winter without a handmade sweater! She doesn't care if he is "sensitive to warmth" and feels itching at the only thought of a scarf! He shouldn't be indifferent to such large a patience (XXL at least), so ... masterpiece is done! This unique and precious work was put on about "twice"in fiftteen years...but it's made of strong yarn...and it will last long!

Meraviglia

Guardate un pò che meraviglia ! La foto non rende giustizia a questi colori...questa lana è un regalo di Ferrida, che ho rivisto recentemente a Firenze! Sto fantasticando su come smatassarle, aggomitolarle e come utilizzarle...ho trovato alcuni spunti, ma credo che non inizierò molto presto...e questo resta il mio chiodo fisso.

Look at this wonder! This photo does no justice to the beauty of these colors...this yarn is a gift from Ferrida, whom I recently met again in Florence! I'm thinking up on how to un-muddle and wind them up, and what could be the best use for them... I have some hints, but I believe I won't start so soon...and this is still my only thought.
