Mordi e fuggi - Bite and run

"Neon"... ecco il nome del cardigan asimmetrico sperando che rompa il grigiore di certe giornate autunnali! E cosa c'entra il titolo del post?... Proprio niente, ma descrive il modo in cui vivo questo periodo.

"Neon" is the name for the asymmetrical cardigan, a wish to shatter those grey fall days!

So what the title of the post has got to do with it?... Absolutely nothing, but that's the way I'm living now.

Origami II

A destra di questa rampa, che porta alla pista parabolica dell'ex stabilimento Fiat del Lingotto, c'è l'ingresso della mostra Manualmente.
Non è un origami di cemento armato?

This ramp leads to the parabolic track on the roof of the former Fiat factory named Lingotto, on its right there's the entrance of "Manualmente" exhibition area.
It's a reinforced concrete origami, is it?

Origami!

Ieri sono andata a vedere una mostra di lavori manuali al Lingotto e ho visto uno stand dove insegnavano a fare origami con vari materiali e varie tecniche.Ho imparato a fare questi fiori con dei tovaglioli e un po' di filo di ferro per lo stelo. Ĕ stato molto divertente.

Yesterday I went to Lingotto to see an exhibition of handmade things and I saw a stand where taught origami. I learnt how to make these flowers with paper napkin and some wire for the stem. It was very fun.

Manualmente

Manualmente è una rassegna della manualità creativa che si terrà a Torino dal 27 al 30 settembre al Lingotto fiere. Nel programma sono previste dimostrazioni corsi, workshops e laboratori per ragazzi. Non solo filati e tecniche per maglia e uncinetto, ma feltro, tinture naturali, ricamo, patchwork, ecc... e per la prima volta "tecniche maschili" (wow!) ovvero tecniche pittoriche decorative e recupero e restauro di mobili.
Spero proprio di farci un salto!
Manualmente is a creative crafts exhibition that will take place in Turin from September 27 to 30 at Lingotto Fiere. Schedule includes demonstrations, classes, workshops and children activities. Not only yarns, knitting, crocheting, but felting, natural dying, embroidery, patchwoork, etc.... and for the first time a space for "manly crafts" (wow!) such as home decor painting techniques and furniture restoration.
I strongly hope to drop in there!

A ferri sciolti - with loose needles

Ho ripreso il lavoro a maglia e seguendo l'ispirazione del cardigan asimmetrico, senza modello e senza pensarci troppo vado a ferri sciolti! Che divertimento, il lavoro cresce a vista d'occhio e nell'attesa del momento opportuno per scrivere questo post, ecco che ho già chiuso....

I started to knit again, and following the inspiration provided by the asymmetrical cardigan, with no pattern, and without thinking too much about it, I'm running with loose needles! What fun! My work grows visibly, and by the time I was waiting to write this post, I had already cast off ...



Il filato, Chimera Lana Gatto, è piacevolmente leggero nonostante lo spessore, ed il tessuto a maglia che si ottiene sembra pile. Non vedo l'ora di finire questo lavoretto, poco impegnativo ma non noioso!

Despite thickness this yarn, Chimera by Lana Gatto, is pleasantly light, and knitted fabric looks like Polarfleece. I'm looking forward to end up this easy little work, mindless yet not boring at all!

A volte anche gli adulti dimenticano per un attimo di essere grandi e troppo "cresciuti" per andare sullo scivolo o su altri giochi.

Oggi la piccola ha convinto la mamma ad andare sullo scivolo con lei; dopo tante insistenze finalmente la mamma ha ceduto e si è fatta trascinare dalla piccola!!!

Sometimes adults forget for a moment to be too big for games in the park. Today the small girl persuaded the mum to slide whit her; finally she gives way to those persistent requests
