Non ho molto da dire, è un periodo un pò strano ... frenetico sotto certi aspetti e assolutamente calmo per altri versi. La cosa più incredibile è scoprire di botto, guardando questa foto che le stagioni si accumulano, le bimbe crescono, nuovi fiori nascono (sto pensando a Lorenzo) ... e anche io, che in fondo mi sento sempre uguale, probabilmente sto "maturando"!!!
(non sarà mica l'effetto del mio prossimo fatidico compleanno?)
Nothing special to say, it's a queer period ... somehow frantic from some points of view and absolutely still from others. The most incredible thing is to find out, all of a sudden, that seasons are piling up, the girls are growing, new flowers are blooming (I'm thinking of Lorenzo) ... and even if I feel always the same, I'm probably getting "mature"!!!!
(could it be the upcoming birthday side-effect?)

... quattro, cinque, sei , sette tentativi.... la bufanda è questa qua! Mi dispiace non avere foto del lavoro in corso ... ma di certo farò altri anelli di Moebius.

Cartolina

Una cartolina per ricordare questa mattinata luminosa e tranquilla, la compagnia di Clarissa, i colori delle sue perle e dei suoi fili, il profumo del tè e la morbidezza del gelato di San Pè (l'abbiamo ritrovato da Eataly!). Buon ritorno a Philadelphia, che per me è ancora il nuovo mondo, ma per lei è già casa!
A postcard to remember this quiet and sunny morning spent with Clarissa, her colorful beads and handiworks, the scent of special tea blends, and the softness of San Pè ice-cream (we found it at Eataly too!) Have a nice journey back to Philadelphia, the new world for me, by now home for her!

PS: che rosso vero? Non ho trovato il settaggio della fotocamera che Gomitolina mi suggeriva ma ho capito che dipende dal bilanciamento dei colori che riesce meglio con uno sfondo scuro.
What a bright red, is it? I wasn't able to find that color setting Gomitolina suggested for my camera, but I understood it's due to the colors balance, so it's better to have a dark background.

Non ho finito

Sono ancora io, per annunciare che mi sono avanzati tanti gomitoli! Evidentemente l'unione dei fili con la tecnica split-plicing è servita anche a fare economia! In autunno troverò sicuramente qualcosa da fare, un gilet, delle manopole ... magari questo!
Spero che non vi dispiaccia se tornerò qui a mostrarlo.

It's me again, to announce you I have many balls left! Surely the split-splicing joining method saved a lot of yarn! I think I'll find something to knit for next autumn, a vest, or mittens ... maybe this! I hope you don't mind if I'll come back here to show you.
