Vuoi un … Pampero?

Ebbene sì! Anche se la frase mi ricorda uno stupido tormentone comico… come tutte le cose insolite e complicate che mi piacciono  anche questo è un modello di Norah  Gaughan.

Stavolta  la costruzione è molto più semplice, solo un tubo per le maniche ed una stola divisa a metà che si cuce ad arte, ed il Pampero è servito!

Although the title reminds me of a stupid comedian using this catchphrase ... Yes, I want a Pampero, but only if it's another unusual and weird design by Norah Gaughan.

This time the construction is much more simple: just a tube for the sleeves and a stole split in half and artfully sewn, and... my Pampero is served!

Pensando ai regali

Non sarò mica l’unica a pensare già a qualche lavoretto veloce da fare per Natale, o no? Ho dei gomitoli soli soletti, tutti colorati, che si prestano bene per questo collo da fare all’uncinetto in una sola serata. L’ho chiamato “Colorama” e l’ho reso disponibile su Ravelry sperando che ispiri anche voi!

Hopefully I won’t be the only one who’s already thinking about quick Christmas gifts! I made this fancy cowl crocheting a single skein of a colourful yarn and I called it “Colorama”and it’s now available on Ravelry. I takes an evening to be finished and maybe it could be inspiring for you too!

Il sentiero perduto

A chi non capita di perdersi in internet alla ricerca di uno modello bello e impossibile? A me succede spesso, e questo è l'ultimo schema agognato.

Così nella ricerca mi sono imbattuta per caso in una bella storia. Una memoria di un passato non lontano che lega una nonna, una nipote e questa spirale fantastica che veniva chiamata "la strada perduta". Il desiderio di percorrerla anch'io si è fatto irresistibile, quasi una sfida da vincere ad ogni costo.

Ovviamente non ho trovato il libro, e così mi sono ingegnata a decifrare le istruzioni dalle fotografie messe in rete.

Ecco il mio campione, un borsellino che ricorda una stravagante lumaca...persa anche lei su un sentiero segreto!

Do you ever lose yourself in internet, searching for an impossible pattern? I do, of course and this is my latest coveted scheme.

In my research I found this beautiful post with a touching story about this crochet whirling pattern resembling “a lost road”. It was as if I had stumbled by chance upon something hidden and rare and my interest grew consequently.

I didn't get the book but I managed to draw out the pattern from the pictures. It was a challenge and I had to follow the lost road, no matter what it takes.

So here I am with my sampler, a coin purse that looks like a weird snail... travelling along the lost and whirling secret path.

Soffici pennellate

Uova strapazzate

Due foto al volo, proprio con la velocità con cui si fanno due uova strapazzate! Ma non solo per questo… anche per il colore bianco giallino…e perfino per la texture con queste vistose noccioline, questo maglione non poteva che chiamarsi così!

Mi sono divertita come non mai ad assemblare le varie parti, seguendo la perfetta costruzione geometrica della mia knitting guru Norah Gaughan e alla fine il ragno paziente ha ottenuto ciò che voleva!

Two quick pics in a minute, just the time to make scrambled eggs! But the name for this sweater came also from its white-yellowish color, not to mention texture and its eye-catching bobbles!

I had lot of fun following this intriguing geometrical construction, but my guru Norah Gaughan never lets me down and at last my patience has been rewarded!
