Introducing Elizabeth

Yesterday has been a strange day, one of those in which something happens unexpectedly and makes you feel astonished (literally makes your jaw drop, as we italians say). I've been wandering here and there in internet for months, visiting all type of blogs, learning about things and persons, catching so much ideas, thoughts, even feelings, that somethimes I felt as if I was a thief. Some people show as they really are, and when I feel a common sensibility I come back to read them again.
In this strange but common way Elizabeth has become one of the persons I "know" and appreciate on the web for her great work and her personal being too.
The point is this: when I entered yesterday to publish the post I had prepared, the very first comment to my brand new blog I read was hers! I never left a comment in her blog, and now I'm very sorry about it! I can't believe, but it happened! I believe more than ever WWW is made of yarn! I felt upset for a while, and I thoght a lot about what should I write, I came up with the idea to introduce you Elizabeth's work as a talented knitter.
I found her patterns on Knitty and on The Garter Belt. I like Crosspatch
hat above all, and last Christmas I knitted six hats so now I know the pattern by heart! I gave them to friends and relatives, so at the moment two hats are strolling up and down in Florence, other two in S.Vito dei Normanni, two here in Turin.
Mine is here in the photo I took yesterday evening, it is my favourite ever!
Thanks a lot Elizabeth!

Ho scoperto i suoi modelli su Knitty e su The Garter Belt.

  3. What typesetter said (I think. My italian skills are very rusty.) is true. I found your blog from my sitemeter, but I'm glad I did!

Your Crosspatch hat looks great. I was very happy to have mine during the bitter cold we had in February.

  5. Elizabeth, your understanding of Italian is pretty good ;-D

knitaly: you can get your counter as well. Mine is from Shinystat (http://www.shinystat.com/it/), Sitemter is a similar service (http://www.sitemeter.com/). You jut need to subscribe (free), register, add the counter to your page (copy and paste some code) and there you are.

  6. Cosa dire ancora?

What should I say more? I settled my debt by pouring in the web those true emotions I had stolen before! I'm glad I did it too!
Moreover I have been "empowered" myself! ;D
